What are Invasive Species?
Invasive species threaten our environment, economy, agriculture, human health, and/or quality of life. Invasive species are not native to Hawaii, they were introduced either intentionally or accidentally by humans. Invasive species generally reproduce quickly and are able to spread from their initial intended area.
The following pests are highly invasive species of concern thought to be either not present or in limited distribution on Kauai.
KISC is actively controlling these species. Sightings of these pests should be reported immediately. If you suspect that you have any of our targets on your property, KISC will survey and if confirmed, will remove it for free.
