What: Ron has been servicing the east side of Kauai for 32 years. He has a small nursery, but all plants have been sourced or grown locally. Ron never imports plants from off-island. You can find various palm species, native plants, and many common ground covers and hedge plants at Ron’s Nursery. Ron also does yard service and landscaping. What: Kauai Seascapes Nursery is a family owned business operating on Kauai for over 30 years. They have a small, but very friendly and knowledgeable team. They carry many common and some rare tropical plants, but you won’t find many invasive species there! Seascapes does not carry any of the plants listed on either the Pono Endorsement Programs Black List or Phase Out List. Serina is keeping her nursery pono by quarantining any plants she might order from other islands with Coqui Frog or Little Fire Ants, to take extra steps in minimizing the spread. She has also agreed to clean her landscaping equipment between work sites to ensure weeds are not spreading from one yard to the next. Seascapes also offers many landscaping services such as landscape design, lighting, irrigation, maintenance, and plant installation.

You can also find a great selection of fruit trees at this nursery. Ray keeps his nursery pono by growing all his specialized plants, instead of importing from off-island. He does not sell any of the Endorsement Program Black or Phase Out List plants, and activity controls for invasive species on his property to prevent any volunteer weeds from growing in his nursery stock.

What: Steve Sico has been raising tropical flowers and foliage on Kauai for 30 years. He specializes in unique Ti plants, foliage, and fragrant flowers. You will find that Steve’s nursery stock is weed free, as he diligently works to keep his property clear of invasive species. Steve also has a wood chipping/landscaping business. Call Steve if you need land cleared with a chipper or need to make mulch. He clears land without grubbing, digging up all your healthy soil, or damaging your land.
