Join us at Limahuli Garden and Preserve on Saturday, November 9th from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Letʻs celebrate ʻōhiʻa! Thereʻs a reason ʻōhiʻa has been named our State Endemic Tree. ʻŌhiʻa is critical to our everyday lives, helping provide water for us to drink and helping ensure a healthy ocean reef by preventing erosion. ʻŌhiʻa is also a home for thousands of native plants and animals, and, of course, ʻōhiʻa is revered in the culture of Hawaiʻi. ʻŌhiʻa truly connects all life on Kauaʻi. Letʻs celebrate together at this very special free event. More information here.

Do you like to doodle? Are you curious about native plants and animals? Maybe you like to sit and ponder nature. Using pictures, words, and numbers, nature journaling is a powerful practice that helps us slow down, pay attention, and wonder at the beauty and awe of the world around us. In this workshop, we’ll welcome wonder, soak in a little science, make some marks and/or notes on paper. Most of all, we’ll slow down and connect with the beauty of Limahuli Valley for 1.5 hours. If youʻre interested, please register here.
